The first season of the new Trollhunters show (Trolljäger – Geschichten aus Arcadia) has been developed by Hollywood icon Guillermo del Toro and made a successful debut as part of the Super RTL children’s programme TOGGO. Especially the key target group just love the stories on teen boy Jim, the boy who has been chosen by a magical amulet to be the successor to the legendary Trollhunter.

The high quality animated series by DreamWorks Animation reached an average of 30,6 percent among boys aged 6 to 9 during its premiere in November/December airing prime time at 19:45. Thus the show achieved an increase of six percent compared to other shows airing in the same slot.

These results underline the fact that children have soon taken hero Jim, his clumsy friend Tobi as well as the loveable trolls Aaarrrgghh!! and Blinky firmly to their hearts. Excellent conditions to launch the new content already announced by DreamWorks: In addition to more seasons of Trollhunters, two other series set in the Arcadia universe are already in the pipeline.
