ZDF Enterprises and NBC News Archive sign distribution agreement

ZDF Enterprises - August 2006

ZDF Enterprises is proud to announce that it will represent NBC News Archive and license its footage in the German-speaking territories as of August 2006. This strategic relationship grants ZDF Enterprises the right to distribute material from the NBC News Archive in Germany, Austria and the German-speaking areas of Switzerland. The agreement covers the immense stock footage of both NBC News and ZDF Enterprises archives that will be of major significance to ZDF Enterprises clients. Both partners will use the experience and facilities of their broadcasting companies to offer high-speed and excellent customer services.

"With ZDF Enterprises," says Nancy Cole, Director of Archives, Sales & Licensing at NBC News, "we found the best synergy in terms of expanding NBC News Archive to the German-speaking production community. ZDF Enterprises has a strong market position in the footage industry and sells material to many target groups. For potential clients, this new relationship is very pragmatic: it offers one-stop shopping for archival footage. We are delighted to extend our reach in the German-speaking market with ZDF Enterprises, and make our vast Archive available to their clients."

"The NBC News' award-winning programs and footage are the first choice for many international producers. With well-known brands like 'Meet the Press,' 'NBC Nightly News' and 'Today,' NBC News Archive is a substantial asset to the portfolio that we now offer clients in the German-speaking territories. With over 55 years of television material from overseas ZDF.archive is the top footage source for advertising agencies, producers, television and film productions in Germany, Austria and the German-speaking areas of Switzerland," says Fred Burcksen, Vice President of Distribution and Investments at ZDF Enterprises.
