Anniversary edition designed by Daniela Katzenberger

The functional doll Baby Annabell® celebrates her 20th anniversary in 2018. Zapf Creation AG takes the occasion to initiate a birthday campaign of a special kind. Their activities focus on a limited Baby Annabell® special edition in cooperation with Daniel Katzenberger. Key element is a charity benefit: Part of all proceeds from the special edition dolls is donated to Stiftung Bild Hilft e.V. – “Ein Herz für Kinder”. End of 2018 Daniela Katzenberger herself will auction off the last doll of the limited edition at the “Ein Herz für Kinder” charity gala. A rich variety of attention-getting marketing activities support the Baby Annabell® birthday campaign on occasion of the anniversary year. Daniela Katzenberger designs anniversary edition of Baby Annabell® 20 years of Baby Annabell® – a perfect reason to celebrate Zapf Creation’s functional doll in 2018. On occasion of the anniversary campaign the company designed a special Katzenberger collection of Baby Annabell® in cooperation with Daniela Katzenberger. Being a true fan of dolls and loving mother of a two-year-old daughter, Daniela Katzenberger is the perfect face for the campaign. “My little daughter Sophia and I love dolls. When I was young I have been playing with Zapf dolls myself. My doll ‘Lisa’ has been my steady companion for many, many years. That’s why I am happy and proud to get the chance to design my own, little collection in cooperation with this leading traditional company”, said Daniela Katzenberger. Just like the classic Baby Annabell®, the special edition naturally responds to touch, is able to cry real tears, drinks her bottle, and wets her nappies.

Starting from the mood board with first ideas and international trends and styles on the market for doll’s and children’s clothes through to the final design of the outfits the highly experienced design team of Zapf Creations worked in close cooperation with Daniela Katzenberger. A great variety of ideas evolved into a great collection of beautiful and trendy items: A fashionable pleated skirt in shiny pink and a casual grey sweatshirt with cat prints and a hood that features cute cat ears. In addition, Baby Annabell® wears matching grey leggings and cat sneakers. The special edition comes completely with soother and feeding bottle. What is more, two dedicated sets of clothes are sold separately. These sets also clearly bear Daniela Katzenberger’s signature as they sport cute cat motifs. Playing kittens or cat’s paws adorn the trendy outfits of the anniversary collection.

For a perfect costume birthday party Zapf Creation provides a treasure chest with 22 costume parts. Thus nothing stands in the way of a great birthday party in child rooms.

Attention-getting activities for the second half of 2018
All items of the Katzenberger collection will be presented in attention-getting Katzenberger displays at the POS. In terms of communication the company relies on a 360 degree strategy – all activities in all areas of marketing are perfectly harmonized. Scheduled activities span all areas: starting from PR, to TV, POS, cooperation, social media and print through to dedicated events.

In addition to the activities, the anniversary year will be topped off by a charity benefit that plays a pivotal role in the anniversary campaign. For every sold special edition doll 7.00 Euros go to the Stiftung Bild Hilft e.V. – “Ein Herz für Kinder”, a charity organization Daniela Katzenberger regularly campaigns for. The highlight: On occasion of the ZDF charity gala in aid of Stiftung Bild Hilft e.V. – “Ein Herz für Kinder” in December 2018 Daniela Katzenberger herself will auction off the last Baby Annabell® VIP edition doll. What is more, numerous activities with Daniela Katzenberger are already in the pipeline. She will actively support Baby Annabell® throughout the anniversary year.
