Children’s books based on Nurture Rights brand expands into new territories

The World of Dinosaur Roar!, the new preschool property owned by kids’ media company Nurture Rights, created by Peter Curtis and produced in association with the Natural History Museum in London, is celebrating World Book Day in the best way possible – by appearing in new territories and new languages.

The first titles in the Macmillan Children’s Books published series of The World of Dinosaur Roar books are now available in France, where they are published by Larousse, and Norway, where they are published by Gyldendal. Editorial Bruño will publish versions in Catalan and Castillian for the Spanish market, while Salani will bring Dinosaur Roar and friends to the Italian market and Sinisukk is producing Estonian versions. The books are also published in Australia, New Zealand and Canada where they are published by Pan Macmillan.

The World of Dinosaur Roar! is a new concept that teaches pre-schoolers about dinosaurs. The extensive book series introduces readers to a different title character in each book and uses his or her personality to teach children about dinosaurs in an engaging and entertaining way. Every book in the series also includes simple dinosaur facts and a pronunciation guide.

The first four titles in the series of The World of Dinosaur Roar! books: Dinosaur Roar! The Tyrannosaurus rex, Dinosaur Boo! The Deinonychus, Dinosaur Stomp! The Triceratops and Dinosaur Munch! The Diplodocus, are already creating a buzz in the UK where they are receiving five-star reviews on Amazon – from parents and grandparents. Comments include: ‘My 3 year old adores these books’, ‘My grandson reads them all the time’, and (proving the series has something for everyone) ‘Even helps turn you turn into a dinosaur nut by helping you pronounce those long odd dinosaur names!’

Many more colourful dinosaurs, including Dinosaur Snap! The Spinosaurus, Dinosaur Flap! The Oviraptor, and Dinosaur Whack! The Stegosaurus, are on their way.

With its large cast of memorable characters and engrossing storylines, The World of Dinosaur Roar! is already attracting licensee interest as a property with potential across a wide range of categories and merchandise aimed at a core market of children aged 2-5, as well as gift givers and dinosaur fans everywhere. A Sticker Activity book is due soon, as well as a dominoes set, a jigsaw puzzle, beanies and plush toys.

Meanwhile the books will inform and entertain a vast and growing audience during, and long after, World Book Day. As Nick Barrington, Managing Director, Nurture Rights, says: “The World of Dinosaur Roar! is an enormously appealing concept that has attracted a large audience in the UK and is now doing the same in other countries. With its wit, colour, fascinating facts and engrossing storylines this is a series of books that really brings an ancient world to life for the very young – something we should all celebrate on World Book Day!”
