Voggenreiter makes learning musical instruments real child’s play!

Voggenreiter Publishing has launched two new highly interesting instrument sets to the German market. The playful music school combines traditional instruments and digital media.

The innovative sets “Flute Master” and “Rhythmic Village” consist of real musical instruments and a code card that allows downloading the accompanying app from Classplash. The self-teaching software for smart phones, tablets, or computers may be installed and used on up to three devices.

The “Flute Master” is centred around a real flute – optional a baroque recorder or a German-style flute. The “Rhythmic Village” contains a set of percussion instruments. Both innovative products are suitable for children aged between 6 and 12.

At the beginning of 2018, Voggenreiter Publishing entered into cooperation with Classplash GmbH. Music educator and company founder Joao Carlos Ramalheiro was awarded for the concepts of both products by Microsoft as early as 2012.

At his own music lessons and in cooperation with other educators Ramalheiro asked children and teachers for their wishes and ideas of a funny, colourful, and simple educational music game. That’s how a pirate, a dragon, bats, and strawberries entered the stage.

Using the recorder app children accompany Oratio the Pirate and Cornelius the Dragon from level to level. They start imitating easy tone sequences, but continue learning to play complex melodies from the score.
Children learn how to hold their hands, how to handle the flute, how to read music, and they develop a sense of rhythm.

The percussion set app comes with 70 different challenges. In addition, it features a virtual rehearsal room that introduces children to percussion instruments. The individual levels have high potential for fun and motivation. The game is able to recognize sounds by microphone, so players receive immediate feedback on their performance. They get to know whether they have played correctly and will be able to enter the next level – so they are highly motivated to continue learning!

The new sets not only wow the kids, also their parents and teachers love them. Children feel a strong affinity with modern devices, including tablets and smart phones. Now Voggenreiter has successfully combined the world of media and the one of traditional instruments and tunes.

Once more, Voggenreiter publishing has launched an exciting, educative, and modern toy at a reasonable price to the German market! These sets create additional value for retail, because they may not only offer complete sets but also individual code cards for the app at a profitable margin. Schools and pre-schools may acquire packages of up to 25 instruments and accompanying app licenses – also in retail stores.

In June and July two additional apps will hit the market.
One app helps to compose your own music by drag & drop arrangements.

But first, children aged 3 to 6 may enjoy an app that introduces different musical instruments. They have to make notes dance by playing their musical instrument.
