Playmates Toys to act as Global Master Toy Partner on Patented Line for Girls 6-9

Sutikki, the kids and family division of Bento Box Entertainment, today introduced Kuroba!, a new proprietary and patented toy-based brand that will launch at retail and on YouTube beginning this Summer 2018 in the U.S. The brand will target girls ages 6-9 and will offer its audience a compelling toy experience that blends collectability with customization and competition – a rare combination for this demographic.

Global powerhouse Playmates Toys will act as the master toy partner for Kuroba! and will roll out a range of products based around the brand beginning this summer in the U.S. Additionally, an international roll-out is planned for Spring 2019. Sutikki licensed the patented and proprietary toy innovation at the heart of the Kuroba! brand from BOTI Global Ltd, a Hong Kong based toy development company, to develop an animation and merchandising program based on this toy ideation.

In addition to leading global merchandising efforts for the brand, Sutikki is currently in production on more than 220 minutes of animated Kuroba! content, and is overseeing its distribution. This includes a Summer 2018 premiere on YouTube.com/Kurobaworld and across a number of social media platforms.

The “Kuroba” are powerful spirits who have lived in peace and friendship for many years, bringing harmony to the world. A mysterious mishap has upset this balance, causing the Kuroba to become mashed-up combinations of one another – unleashing mischief and mayhem upon the Earth. Three young girls have been chosen to become “Kuroba Keepers” tasked with finding these spirits and restoring harmony back to the world.

Kuroba! is the second brand to be launched under the Sutikki banner, following Moon and Me, the highly anticipated new preschool series created by Andrew Davenport (Teletubbies, In the Night Garden) that premieres later this year on BBC’s CBeebies channel and Universal Kids.
