Beyblade: Burst again strongest boys property

On 2nd of June 2018 boys and girl may prove their Beyblade skills and find the true Beyblade Champion in a series of fierce battles. The German “BeyBlade: Burst World Tour” tournament is held in 61 Toys’R’Us stores nationwide. Winners will travel to France in November for the world championship finals. Master toy partner Hasbro support the German tournaments with a large-scale advertising campaign on TV and on digital media.

The TV series “Beyblade: Burst” is currently airing on Nickelodeon. Since 14th of May 2018 the channel has been broadcasting the first season Mondays to Fridays at 13:20 (since 1 June at 13:30) as well as Saturdays at 11:25. The new episodes of the second season started airing on 4 June 2018. The broadcast is actively supported by on-air promotion on Nickelodeon. In addition, Hasbro promote their “Beyblade: Burst” product range on TV and digital media, resulting in more than 10 million contacts (gross).

“Beyblade: Burst” ties in with the overall success of the licensed property and has already become the strongest boys brand in German-speaking territories. In the top one hundred list of best-selling action figures and accessories Beyblade products take up first ranks. Beyblade has built up a huge following in Germany. More than four million people have already watched the films on the official YouTube channel, an average of 200,000 each week.

The toys and entertainment provider Hasbro and Studio 100 Media | m4e as official licensing agency for German-speaking territories strive to continue the success of the “Beyblade” phenomenon with its next generation and establish the brand firmly on the market. “Beyblade got plenty of hype in 2004 and 2011. Now we appeal to the audience with the third generation and all signs point to another tremendous success,” said Anne Leonhardi, Hasbro Marketing Director GSA.

“Beyblade” was created by TOMY in Japan, back in 1999. Beyblade have their origin in the traditional Japanese spinning top toys, the “Bei-Goma”. Only a few years after their launch, d-rights created an animated series and thus a whole world for the continuously growing number of fans. That’s how the original “Beyblade” brand has developed into a global phenomenon with two generations, consisting of seven shows, two feature-length films and three spin-off series. In more than 80 countries the brand has enjoyed overwhelming success on TV and in retail. “Beyblade Burst” is the third generation of “Beyblade”. It offers all the exciting features of past generations and comes up with significant innovations. The new generation focus on real sports activities. Due to interaction in battle the spinning tops promote fair competition, strategic thinking, and respect for the other players.
