Bulldog Announces Launch Of New Shopkins Range At Specsavers!

BRANDORA - July 2018

An exciting range of Shopkins-branded glasses was launched at Specsavers stores in early July, thanks to a deal between the optical giant and licensor Moose Toys – brokered by Bulldog Licensing.

Shopkins is the hit collectable that has sold in excess of 1.5 billion items since launch. Now on series 10, there are hundreds of the cute little characters to collect, including a few ultra-rare special characters. Its popularity is bolstered by a strong entertainment slate, with top selling DVDs weekly webisodes on YouTube (also available on Netflix), music and apps. Shopkins sub-brands such as Cutie Cars are also flying off the shelves – with retailers struggling to keep up with demand.

There are four different styles to choose from in the new range launching at Specsavers - all featuring favourite Shopkins characters such as Strawberry Kiss, Buncho bananas, D’Lish Donut, Ice Cream Kate and Rainbow Bite. The glasses are on sale in all 838 Specsavers stores across Britain and Ireland.

The new deal adds to the host of existing Shopkins partners across multiple categories. These includes Smith & Brooks (apparel), Aykroyds TDP (nightwear and underwear), Spearmark (lunchware, tableware, drinkware and lighting), VMC (headwear, scarves, sunglasses and more), Blueprint (stationery), Danilo (greetings cards, wrap and calendars), DJ Murphy (magazines), Winning Moves (Top Trumps and games), and Whitehouse Leisure (amusement plush).

“This is another great deal for Shopkins and one which demonstrates the brand’s huge versatility,” comments Bulldog Licensing Manager Vicky Hill. “We are very excited to be working with Specsavers, and to see the range hit shelves.”
