Angry Birds Movie 2, Haute Couture Runway and Cake Party and new licensing opportunities at Hotel Nhow

Maurizio Distefano Licensing (MDL), which manages licensing for a number of global and regional brands in Italian-speaking markets, has announced its plans for Milano Licensing Day on 13 September, taking place at the Hotel Nhow (via Tortona 35), Milan.

Alongside Rovio, for whom they manage licensing for Angry Birds 2 in Italy and Switzerland, MDL will be organising a presentation about the movie which is due to launch in September 2019. Since Milan is, after all the fashion capital of the world, there will also be a Haute Couture runway event with models showing off some stunning outfits

The Haute Couture Runway is created by Filippo Laterza, an up-and-coming fashion designer. Now 23, he grew up in a family of tailors and was at home in the world of fabrics and hand-made from an early age. After fashion school, where his prints won numerous prizes, he met the designer and entrepreneur Stefano Cavalleri, who became his mentor, supporting him in the creation of a haute couture line that has been presented at Alta Roma, Rome’s bi-annual fashion week, and has then been taken around the world from China to Europe.

About the Angry Birds project, Filippo says: “I was honoured to take on this important challenge. Interpreting mobile game and movie characters through an elegant and Haute Couture cut is a way for me to contribute to the increasingly young vision of high fashion. In fact I see it as a new form of art – an evolution of pop art, perhaps. Angry Birds is strong and creative and communicates this powerfully, which is, for me, a true source of inspiration.”

And that’s not all. The Angry Birds Movie 2 special presentation will round off with a cake party!

Milano Licensing Day is a major opportunity and MDL is certainly making the most of it. New properties will be presented at the MDL pitch that will take place in the Hotel Nhow Madrid room, on the hotel’s ground floor, from 11 am.

Maurizio Distefano, President and Founder of Maurizio Distefano Licensing, says: Milano Licensing Day is a not-to-be-missed opportunity for visitors to get a first view of one of the movie events of 2019 – and to find out more about the latest additions to our high-performing portfolio of brands. We’re looking forward to seeing you!”

To find out more about these events – or to arrange a meeting – visitors can make an appointment with MDL before the show or meet company members at booth 24 to hear more about the opportunities offered by MDL’s brand portfolio, a carefully chosen selection of the most appealing and high-performing brands in today’s market.

Only four years after its formation by respected industry veteran Maurizio Distefano, the agency that takes his name has an extensive list of properties and clients, including some of the most popular names in entertainment around the world such as Masha and the Bear, Angry Birds, Alvinnn!!!
