Asmodee Group has begun exclusive talks to acquire Brazilian board game distributor Galápagos Jogos. Galápagos was founded in 2009 and today is one of the leading companies for board games in Brazil.

Since 2013 and the distribution of their first major international games, Galápagos has achieved growing success. Doing so, they are in a perfect line with the positive development of the overall puzzles and board games market, one of the most dynamic markets on the entertainment sector.

Asmodee has maintained a longstanding distribution partnership with Galápagos Jogos. The acquisition now allows Asmodee to strengthen their international presence with their own representation in South America. Asmodee already has fourteen subsidiaries in Europe, North America, and China and relies on thirteen studios for games development around the world.
