Rooftop Film & TV is set to continue with the international sales for the sports documentary “Take The Ball Pass The Ball”. The gripping documentary which sees a theatrical release in cinemas in UK and Spain on November 9th, 2018 through Universal Pictures Home Entertainment Content Group, has been a viral hit over various social media platforms garnering over 3,144,776 views, 127,000,000 plus Google results and in excess of 125 articles within days of the trailer release.
At MIPCOM 2018, Rooftop Film & TV also announced deals with leading U.S. Hispanic broadcaster Telemundo for Spanish speaking USA, STUDIOCANAL Germany for German speaking Europe and Japanese marketing company Fieldworks Inc. All rights currently available for this engaging documentary include Italy, Russia, India and Southeast Asia (excl. Philippines) together with worldwide rights for Inflight and Educational.
Based on the award-winning book ‘Barça: The Making Of The Greatest Team In The World’ written by well-known Spanish football journalist, broadcaster and author Graham Hunter, the 107-minute documentary features legendary footballers such as Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, Piqué, Puyol, Valdés, Busquets, Mascherano, Alves, Abidal, Eto’o, Carrick, Capello, Gudjohnsen and Thierry Henry.
Take The Ball Pass The Ball is directed by Duncan McMath and produced by Barcelona based Zoom Sport International, a creative video production house specializing in high-end sports content.
