scopas medien launches new sales division

At the start of October, the Frankfurt-based film production company scopas medien AG launched a new sales operation, led as Director of Sales by Susanne Weisheit (35), licensing its rights for self- and co-produced films and series. scopas medien has thus added a further area of business to its two mainstays of operation in the fields of animation and documentary films.

A business management graduate, Susanne Weisheit worked previously as Merchandising Project Manager at ZDF Enterprises GmbH in Mainz. With scopas medien she will initially be building up the merchandising sales activities across Europe for the children’s series ‘Dragon’ (www.dragonandhisfriends.com), which is co-produced with Cité Amerique (Canada), Image Plus (Korea). ‘Dragon’ is a stop-motion animation series for pre-school children, which has already been broadcasted with great success in over 40 countries worldwide (e.g. USA (qubo), Australia (ABC), Canada (Treehouse), Korea (EBS), Latin America (Cartoon Network), Germany (ZDF), Italy (RAI), Belgium (VRT), The Netherlands (KRO), Sweden (SVT), Norway (NRK)).
