The Broad Street Licensing Group announced today that it has brokered a deal between Miami-based fast-food giant Burger King Corporation and NY-based AME/Next Craze to license the brand for loungewear, sleepwear and boxers. Focus of the line will be on the Burger King “KING” character, who has a starring role in the brand’s provocative, bold, often weird, always hilarious prime-time TV commercials. Carole Francesca, president of Broad Street Licensing, said, “AME/Next Craze is edgy and aggressive – perfectly in sync with a brand that has most of America talking about the King. It’s another way for the consumer to experience the edgyness of the BURGER KING® brand.”

Brian Gies, VP of marketing impact for Burger King Brands, Inc., said, “We’re confident that this is the right time to move the BURGER KING® brand into licensing, and we’re very excited to see what AME/Next Craze will do to bring our brand closer to trendy consumers.” Elliott Azrak, Executive VP of AME/Next Craze, pressed hard to get the license because he believes so strongly in the property. “BURGER KING® is a tremendous brand, and we are eagerly looking forward to bringing the King to life in a compelling way for consumers.” | |
