| DVD Release on February 22nd, 2007: Seven brand-new episodes in German SpongeBob SquarePants heads for legendary Karate-Island. Seven other episodes on the yellow NICK hero are released on February 22nd, 2007: the German version of “SpongeBob SquarePants – Karate Island” – SpongeBob Schwammkopf – Der König des Karate”. After the successful release of “SpongeBob Schwammkopf – Zeitreise” (Lost in Time) in November last year Paramount Home Entertainemt now throws another spongy DVD on the German market. SpongeBob surpasses even Mickey Mouse SpongeBob is the most popular character for children aged between 6 and 12 – according to IconKids&Youth: Trend Tracking Kids® 2006. He even surpassed Harry Potter and Mickey Mouse. Within target group the yellow sponge enjoys a brand awareness of 95% - that makes him more famous than Barbie or Pippi Longstocking. What is more: Also the 6-19-year olds rate the episodes on the adventurous hero their third-most popular TV show. SpongeBob has long become a cult character. His show is great fun for everyone– not only for the kids! The hilarious underwater-superstar airs daily on NICK! SpongeBob’s Underwater World A giant sponge with large blue eyes, brown pants, a white shirt and an infections laugh: That’s SpongeBob SquarePants.
