Oregon Scientific, one of the leading designers and worldwide marketers of personal electronics, announced today its SmartGlobe™ has been named the “Educational Toy of the Year”. The “Educational Toy of the Year” award recognizes a toy that helps children develop special skills and/or knowledge. The SmartGlobe was on display, along with other innovative youth electronic products from Oregon Scientific at Toy Fair, at the Javits Center.

With the SmartGlobe, children from kindergarten through high school can learn history, geography and cultural facts about countries from around the world. Children can explore independently or play with activities for up to four children.
