The C'Mons are cult
Heunec Plush was able to secure a new, cutting-edge property that has long become absolute cult. After the agency "Cyberwear Heidelberg" has chosen HEUNEC to manufacture the C?Mons for the pan-European initial campaign of the brand-new Opel Corsa, HEUNEC was able to acquire the major toy license for Europe in January 2007.
Positive response at the International Toy Fair in Nuremberg and the following Ambiente in Frankfurt was impressive. From mid-May the C?MONS - "Blue", "Cherri", "Red", "White" and "Moo" will be available as:
- Key rings
- Safety Belts
- Plush toys (16 cm and 25 cm)
The Story:
The cult characters "The C?Mons" created by Boris Hoppek have been cavorting on music entertainment channel "MTV" from 2002. Lately, the Adam Opel AG has taken notice of these creatures and chose them as driving force for their brand-new, pan-European initial image campaign of the latest Opel Corsa.
Who are the C?MONS
Originally, the C.M.O.N.S. have just been five friends -- having met in a pup in Barcelona and decided to found a band. Their first stage performance at a club in Barcelona was less than spectacular -- as it's rather difficult to show emotions when being a ragged doll.
Enthusiastic fans, an asserted underground band -- that's all staged by the automotive manufacturer from Rüsselsheim. Since May 2006 the C?Mons have been presented as cutting-edge pop act on different channels -- reminding of group like the Puppetmastaz. MTV for instance aired a mini-documentation on the notional combo -- and even interviewed their manager! The launch of the official campaign in September 2006 including print media and TV spots made the C?Mons super stars -- virtually overnight. The C'Mons, that is:
- C'MON Blue: male, born on 7 Oct 1982, features: totally relaxed
- C'MON White: male, born on 28 May 1979, features: city neurotics with a heart of gold
- C'MON Cherri: female, born on 7 Feb 1978, features: behind a tough front hides a sweet girl -- presumably
- C'MON Red: male, born 7 Oct 1985, features: nice guy, if you get dare to get involved with him
- C'MON Moo: female, born 13 Apr 1983, features: her smile lights up every room
