Super RTL with strong prime time ratings in February Leadership in children’s market confirmed

Super RTL achieved an excellent market share of 2.8 percent among the 14- to 49-year-olds (8.15 – 10 p.m.) in February 2007 and exceeds last year’s February ratings by four percent. Within the group of young viewers (aged 3 to 13) the family channel based in Cologne was able to extend its lead with a 28.3 percent share (6 am – 8.15 p.m.). These ratings not only clearly surpass last year’s average ratings by also outdo the competitive public children’s channel “Ki.Ka.” with a 14.9 market share.

Besides own productions like “Webmix – Das Lustigste aus dem Internet” and DSDS – Das Magazin” the prime time show “Guinness World Records” following “Upps! Die Pannenshow” on Thursdays was able to convince with a respectable performance and a 4.2 percent share.

Super RTL will continue to rely on family programmes in the early evenings. In addition to animated success shows like “Disney’s Lilo & Stitch”, “SpongeBob SquarePants” and “Disney’s Kim Possible” children’s favourite TV channel started a new live action series by Disney in February: “Hotel Zack & Cody“ (The Suite Life of Zack & Cody) airs every Sunday at 7:45 pm for the first time on German free TV.
