Brand-new German episodes of the popular preschool series by Paramount Home Entertainment

Just in time for Easter holidays: Paramount Home Entertainment Germany releases brand-new episodes of the four times Emmy nominated edutainment series airing on NICK! The German DVD version of “Dora’s Egg Hunt” will be available from March 22nd, 2007. Together with “Dora the Explorer” even the very small may discover the world of foreign languages, mathematics and music. Dora encourages joining in interactive games, fosters physical coordination and invites kids to try and solve problems on their own.

Edutainment for preschool children
“Dora – The Explorer” targets children aged three to six. She invites children to observe situations closely and draw their conclusions accordingly. Children are encouraged to think for themselves. Each episode ends with the solution to a problem and the famous “We did it” song. The 30-minutes-episodes leave enough free time for individual play ideas.
Dora is seven years old and together with her best friend, the little monkey Boots, she lives in an imaginary, colourful tropic world on a computer. This accounts for the increasing importance of the computer in every-day life and playfully introduces children to this modern medium.

Dora’s success story
The high educational value makes Dora one of the most popular preschool shows in the USA, France, UK and Germany. Paramount Home Entertainment has already released to DVDs onto the German market in August and December 2006: “Dora the Explorer – Map Adventures” and “Dora’s Christmas” – with great success!
