After successful international sales, BRB is preparing a second season of "Bernard"

Spanish producer BRB Internacional will be attending this year’s MIPTV to make an important announcement: after the huge sales success of the first series all over the world, a second series and a theatrical feature film of Bernard are going into production.

Bernard fans will be able to continue enjoying the new adventures – or rather, misadventures – of this unusual and clumsy polar bear as he makes his anarchic journey around the world. The first TV series (of 52 episodes) will be broadcast this year in over 60 countries, including: Cartoon Network –USA and Eastern Europe-, Disney –Latin America-, Televisa –Mexico-, Radio Canada –Canada-, TV Nacional de Chile –Chile-, Ecuavisa –Ecuador-, América TV –Perú-, BBC –England-, M6 –France-, RTI/Mediaset and Nickelodeon –Italy-, KIKA –Germany-, ABC –Australia-, VRT –Belgium-, ETV –Estonia-, YLE –Finland-, 365 Media –Iceland-, Victory IP –Middle East-, KRO – Netherlands-, NRK –Norway-, Muz –Russia-, SVT –Suecia-, SSR/SFDRS –Switzerland-, Samanyolu TV –Turkey-, New Chanel –Ucrania-, Kynet –África-, … Recently Nickelodeon in New Zealand, and DR in Denmark have the joined the impressive list of major television stations which have acquired Bernard.

Furthermore, Bernard the bear is the latest fashion in global licensing: The German WB Compagnie has presented the first appearance of toys – plush toys and related accessories – based on the likeable bear. In Italy, Seven S.P.A. has designed an original stationery line based on the hero of the series.
In France, Evasion Comunicacion is preparing its first Bernard fancy dress, while Prime is developing a special collection of decorative items for food products. And, for the first time, the TV' series Bernard can be downloaded on mobiles in several European countries: in Austria, OHM will allow mobile subscribers to see the hilarious adventures of this strange polar bear; while from mid-2007 Materna is planning to market not only episodes from the television series, but also a wide range of other content for mobiles – including wallpaper and ringtones – in Germany, Austria and Switzerland-, and now Kitio Mobile has acquired the video downloading rights, as well the VOD rights, to Bernard in Croatia and Slovenia.

BRB Internacional is currently producing a second 52 part series of Bernard, and has unveiled a powerful licensing programme for the property.
BRB is also planning to make an animated theatrical feature of Bernard for release in 2009.
