The production company scopas medien AG pushes the growth of their brands’ ancillary rights business. At first they concentrate on the management and pan-European extension of their “Dragon” brand. Susanne Weisheit, Director Sales and responsible for developing and expanding scopas licensing business, presented the new company based in Frankfurt for the first time at the LIMA’s “Tag der Lizenzen” on March 27th , 2007 in Cologne.

The animated series on the “little blue dragon” and his friends has been produced and developed in co-operation with scopas medien in 2004. After the successful TV distribution in over 40 countries worldwide they now focus on intensifying pan-European merchandising. Besides heunec, Universum Film, Clementoni and Baumhaus Publishing also the Dutch Company of Kids and Mondo Home Entertainment in Italy have been licensed the rights on “Dragon”. Recently scopas medien has entered into negotiations with several European publishing houses so that many little fans will be able to read all about their little friend “Dragon” in the future.

Another striking success is the latest assignment by the US-American publisher Scholastic Media. scopas medien has taken over the German licensing of “Clifford, the Big Red Dog”. The character is based on the best-selling children’s book series of all times in the USA and thus provides remarkable marketing potential.

Totally different ways follows scopas medien with their football comedy “Deutsche 11 backstage”. The celebrated website www.D11B.tv not only presents sports enthusiasts with funny clips on the German national football team but also provides numerous community features like a fan forum, the blog and a fan merchandising shop.
