TV-Loonland awards toy license for LITTLE PRINCESS

TV-Loonland - April 2007

TV-Loonland announces that Martin Yaffe International has been granted a toy license for its critically acclaimed preschool show LITTLE PRINCESS (produced by The Illuminated Film Company). The agreement follows recent merchandising deals further proving the brand strength and international appeal.

Martin Yaffe International will develop products in a wide range of toy categories - including figures, plush, inflatables as well as wheeled and educational activity toys. First products are expected to hit store shelves in the UK and Ireland in February 2008.

Bernd Conrad, Head of Licensing and Merchandising at TV-Loonland commented: "We are very pleased with this toy deal as it fits strategically into our plan to continually develop our core brand portfolio while selectively aligning ourselves with the best licensees in the business. LITTLE PRINCESS is a unique and delightful property that lends itself to toys perfectly. With the wealth of creativity and quality Martin Yaffe Int. brings to the key toy categories they produce, this agreement is definitely of mutual benefit. We are thrilled to have Martin Yaffe on board, opening doors to an international toy career for our LITTLE PRINCESS and we look forward to a long term partnership."

Ronnie Yaffe, Managing Director of Martin Yaffe International, commented, "We are delighted to be able to work with TV-Loonland on the Little Princess brand and believe it has tremendous potential. It is a perfect addition to our stable of much-loved children's character licences."

Recently appointed LITTLE PRINCESS licensees include Blues Clothing Ltd. for the UK market and Van Der Erve B.V. for the Benelux and French markets. Both licensees will be producing children's underwear and nightwear, such as pants, vests, pyjamas and nightdresses; with Van Der Erve B.V. also producing daywear including t-shirts, sweatshirts, pullovers, skirts & dresses.

Aimed at 2-6 year olds, LITTLE PRINCESS received great response from television buyers and subsequently has been placed with key broadcasters in more than 100 countries. Moreover, the show has received awards at various festivals like The Cairo Golden Award (Best TV Film) and The Fifth Tehran International Festival (Best TV Film), proving it to be a real international property.

The deals with Martin Yaffe International and Blues Clothing ltd. were brokered by TV-Loonlands UK licensing consultant Kirsty Guthrie (KJG Ltd.).
