Poetic Brands Seals A Major Deal With Universal!

Brandora Redaktion - March 2019

Licensed clothing specialist Poetic Brands has signed a new agreement that will see it develop apparel based around red-hot brands from the Universal Pictures stable of properties.

Universal is one of the world’s biggest and best known film studios - and the oldest surviving studio in the US. Since it was founded in 1912, the studio has consistently pushed back the boundaries of movie-making and its films have been hits with critics and audiences alike. These range from early silent hits such as The Hunchback of Notre Dame and The Phantom of the Opera, right through to modern-day global blockbusters like The Grinch and The Fast and Furious franchise.

Poetic Brands will develop apparel lines for adults including nightwear based on some of the studio’s biggest and most enduring brands, including Back to the Future, Jaws, Despicable Me, Trolls, ET - and a wide selection of horror classics.

“We are delighted to have signed this new agreement,” says Elliott Matthews of Poetic Brands. “Universal is one the biggest names in the film world, with a huge breadth of classic brands in its portfolio. We can’t wait to get stuck in with creating apparel lines that will tap into this rich history.”
