Brand-new DVD available now

Scrumptious entertainment on the big screen and DVD: A new Strawberry Shortcake movie. Lively Strawberry and her berry friends embark brand-new adventures on DVD – available from May 7th, 2007 throughout Germany. Prior to the official DVD launch the movie was theatrically released on April 19th in four German cities. So those too curious to wait for the DVD have already been able to enjoy 80 minutes of “Sweet Dreams” in chosen theatres.

The fantastic movie starts with great excitement for Strawberry and her friends: All the berries have disappeared! When the evildoer threatens to steal their sweet dreams, too, the inhabitants of Strawberryland take action. The film is a colourful firework full of music and berry fun. What is more, little fans may also enjoy their beloved Strawberry Shortcake regularly on TV. Currently the series airs on Junior TV every afternoon and from May 30th, 2007 the KI.KA will show 27 episodes. In autumn a special cooperation with the popular “Familie & Co.” magazine will support the rosy licensed property. Part of the promotion campaign is an online lottery organized by retail and licensed partners.

By now there already are numerous products that colour up everyday life: Cuddly bed linen provides sweet dreams and a strawberry alarm clock raises the little ones out of sleep in the morning. Pink socks, colourful bags and hair slides accompany Strawberry Shortcake enthusiasts through springtime. “We will extend the current product portfolio by many berrylicious products in near future”, said Joachim Knödler, Director Sales & Retail Copyright Promotions, who is convinced of the berry success of rosy Strawberry Shortcake.
