"Löwenzahn" wins Goldenen Spatz 2007

The ZDF tivi science show “Löwenzahn” won the “Goldener Spatz 2007” award at the 15th German Children’s Film&TV Festival in Erfurt. For the category Information/Documentation and Entertainment a panel of 31 children has chosen the Löwenzahn episode "Bionik - Technik aus der Natur" (“Bionics – Technology designed by Nature” – ZDF tivi: Remo Trerotola) to receive the coveted award. During this episode Fritz Fuchs dives deep into nature’s fascinating bag of tricks and shows how mankind tries to benefit from useful properties they discovered in flora and fauna.

Christoph Maria Herbst has been awarded the Goldener Spatz as Best Actor for his impressive performance in the ZDF- coproduction "Hände weg von Mississippi". The movie has already won the Goldene Lola 2007 as best children’s film of the year.

Since 1993 the Goldener Spatz has been presented every second year and gives a review of national and international films and TV shows for children. The “Goldener Spatz” are awarded by a panel of 31 children from all over Germany aged between 9 and 13 and a panel of TV and film experts.
