Etudes T2 Fashion Collection Reflecting the New Reality with a Timeless Icon
BRANDORA Editorial Staff - October 2020Impressive debut of show on Italian TV inspires strong licensing and retail response
Creative Licensing in collaboration with Studiocanal celebrates Etudes, the French fashion designer and their men’s collection featuring designs inspired by Terminator 2: Judgment Day, The Autumn Winter 2020-21 collection debuted during Paris Fashion Week in January and was lauded by the NY Times and Paris Vogue. It will be seen in stores worldwide beginning this fall. Iconic, Classic, Contemporary — T2 regularly appears on lists of the best movies ever made.
The collection also includes designs inspired by the French film La Planete Sauvage. These two films together share a dystopian view of the world which Etudes has interpreted into menswear that includes heatmap prints, slick leather trenches with shades of grey and silver-coated outerwear. Designed by Aurélien Arbet, Jérémie Egry and José Lamali, this clothing is robotic and psychedelic. It follows “Etudes own memory bank to deliver a transcontinental discourse on 20th century science fiction and its intentions for nature and technology” said Aureélien Arbet, Creative Director, Etudes.
“We are delighted to see this inspired take on the world famous T2. It confirms the timeless beauty of the film and its elements”, said Kim Penny EVP Creative Licensing. The Etudes T2 Collection can be found here: www.etudes-studio.com/collections/etudes-x-terminator-2
