ZDF Enterprises GmbH has secured a 50% share of Bavaria Fernsehproduktion GmbH. The key points of the agreement were negotiated during the last weeks and were officially agreed yesterday by the Boards of Directors of ZDF Enterprises GmbH and Bavaria Film GmbH. The purchase price is understood to comprise several million Euros.

This is a logical further step in the diversification of ZDF Enterprises' portfolio of partnerships and an extension of the production expertise we are able to offer our partners."

Bavaria Fernsehproduktion was formed as a production company during the course of reorganisation at Bavaria Film GmbH in February of this year. Its activities represent a concentration of the television production work performed by Bavaria Film at its Munich location. Alongside the ARD series "Marienhof" and "Storm of Love", the output also includes ZDF programs such as "The Rosenheim Cops" and "Inga Lindström".
