The bomb is ticking with the new Pocket Detective
Schmidt Spiele - January 2021Another criminal case for the pocket
A major disaster is brewing in a storm-stricken and cut-off small town. For a bomb is ticking relentlessly in the chemical plant there, threatening to explode. But things could get even worse. Because little is known about the factory so far - and that raises questions. On the trail of the culprit are one to six players, who can slip into the role of police officers, journalists or engineers. Each role allows different solutions to stop the perpetrator and his plan in time. To do this, the players must follow a variety of clues, visit locations and question witnesses and suspicious-looking people. Once again, their biggest enemy is time.
"Pocket Detective" enters its third round with a new criminal case. In the card game series from Schmidt Spiele, one to six players each slip into the role of clever engineers, investigators or journalists and go in search of clues. The game is played with only one deck of cards, which the players use to cooperatively decide which clues they will follow to solve the case. However, not every clue leads to the culprit - some information also lures the players onto the wrong track. In the latest edition of the detective game, a strong storm devastates a small town and causes a lot of excitement. While the police and fire department are on their way, a suspicious object is found in the local chemical factory, which only a short time later turns out to be a ticking bomb - and it threatens to go off. Will the players succeed in convicting the perpetrator before the countdown has elapsed? Then they win the game together. Unlike the previously published detective cases "Dangerous Machinations" and "Murder on Campus", this one can also be played multiple times, as the players can slip into different roles.
