Starting this spring, Plapparagei will cause plenty of conversation

Schmidt Spiele - January 2021

Discarded and parroted

Green? Red? Parrot? In the new, fast-paced discard game from Drei Magier®, the players chatter away as much as they can - and sometimes their tongues get knotted. The players try to get rid of their cards as quickly as possible in the spring novelty, but without blabbing too often. But that goes faster than you think. Because different types of animals and colors sometimes make it difficult for the players, and every false statement distances the players further from winning the game. The winner is the first player to play all his cards.

In "Plapparagei", the winner is not always the one who has the most to say. Because only the correct statements bring one of the two to six players the victory. At the beginning, each player receives a deck of cards and places it in front of them as a face-down pile. In turn, the players always turn over the top card of their pile and play it in turn on one of the two discard piles. The playing of a card is always connected with a statement and depends on the two cards lying face up. Thus, the active player must either name the correct animal or color, call Plapparagei, or sometimes simply parrot what the previous player said. Additional stumbling blocks require even more concentration. In case of a wrong statement or too long hesitation, the respective player has to pick up all cards of the two discard piles, which is not conducive to winning the game. Because only the player who manages to get rid of his cards before the other players wins "Plapparagei".
