The new collection 'Good Night' from Fehn helps babies fall asleep in a gentle way

Fehn - January 2021

In the first three months, babies sleep 16 to 18 hours a day, divided into about five sleep phases. This is important so that the little treasure can discover the world anew every day in a balanced and curious manner. However, in the first few months, a baby still has to find and develop its correct and individual rhythm between sleeping and being awake. To make this a little easier, the traditional Upper Franconian manufacturer Fehn has placed its new collection 'Good Night' under the great theme of 'Falling asleep'. So there are not only various cuddly toys and music boxes that accompany to sleep. Each toy is also equipped with a special 'glow-in-the-dark' yarn that glows gently in the dark. Fehn has also developed two brand-new cuddly toys, a giraffe and an elephant, which function as nightlights, as well as an MP3 mobile movement that not only lights up, but also plays ten to twelve individually selectable melodies.

Good sleep is especially important for small babies. It ensures that they develop well and are balanced. The new collection from Fehn is therefore all about falling asleep.

Go to sleep together with giraffe and elephant!
All collections of the company Fehn inspire with original characters and an unusual design. The animal world is usually the best source of inspiration here. Also in the new collection, one has fallen back on small animal friends. Giraffes and elephants both stand out in the animal world as slightly sedate, cozy and basically good-natured characters. With closed eyes and a sleeping cap, they are the best night companions and sleep aids in the new Fehn collection. Whether cuddle cloth, grasping toy, cuddly toy, warmth animal with grape seed filling, good night book or nest snake - the little companions are cuddly soft and prefer to be everywhere. Soft colors such as light blue, beige, white or gray are combined with accent colors such as orange and red, both reminiscent of the African steppe, where giraffe and elephant are at home.

As with all of Fehn's collections, there's plenty for babies to discover in 'Good Night'. Soft fabric as well as gripper or stick rattle encourage sense of touch and joy of discovery. Rattle, rustling paper, squeaker, mirror entertain partly with acoustic signals. Cuddle cloth hand puppet or even a small giraffe in a carrier bag encourage the play instinct. The music boxes play the most popular good-night melodies and gently accompany to sleep.

What's that glowing in the night?
No sooner has a baby seen the light of day than it has to come to terms with day and night. In mommy's belly, it was previously largely protected from too much brightness and a big light-dark contrast. Now shutters can be closed and the baby is suddenly in the middle of the dark. So that it is not afraid and the transition from day to night is not too abrupt, a soft light can help. Fehn has therefore integrated small light elements in the new 'Good Night' collection. For this purpose, special 'glow-in-the-dark' knitting yarn was used for each play figure, which glows at night and provides orientation.

But that's not all. Two play figures, giraffe and elephant, are not only cuddly toys but also night lights. This glows softly and can easily be taken into the crib. In this way, the baby can orient himself at night with his eyes and the darkness is much less scary. In the blink of an eye, it can also be made into a normal cuddly toy by simply removing the nightlight component.

Fehn's new 15-piece 'Good Night' collection makes it easier for babies to fall asleep. Whether lullabies, cuddly toys or soft light - different little helpers ensure that babies feel comfortable and gently find their way to sleep.
