Models with pneumatic drive

Strong Pneumatics construction kit.
The fischertechnik Strong Pneumatics construction kit uses six models to explain the principle of pneumatic drives. With the help of impressive construction structures such as a scissor lift table, a front loader or a tree trunk grapple, the functionality of the proven drive technology can be learned in a playful way. The construction kit will be available in specialist shops from March for 119.90 Euro and is suitable for children aged 9 and over.

With the fischertechnik components, a compressor, three cylinders and three exhaust throttles, six different models are created which illustrate the principle of pneumatics.

These include three particularly impressive vehicles that can be found in everyday life on the farm or in the forest. The basis for these is a tractor equipped with a compressor. The impressive steerable model with large tires is the basis for three clever extensions: A front loader lowers and raises the bucket and tips it over in front. An exhaust throttle regulates speed so the bucket doesn't tip up and behind too quickly.

Heavy work in the forest is done by tree grapples, which can also be reproduced with this construction set. The arm raises and lowers, and the grapple is opened and closed by a hand valve. The grapple arm can even be rotated completely - just like the impressive original for heavy forest work.

The twin rotor rake is driven by a cardan shaft and rotates as soon as the tractor is moving. When the work is done, it can be raised completely so that the tractor can be parked in the garage again. Rotary rakes are used in agriculture to gather crops such as hay. With fischertechnik, children can recreate this useful piece of equipment.

A scissor lift table, a clamping device and an easy-to-build functional model are also included in the package.

"With our new pneumatics construction kit, we awaken an understanding of technical processes in a playful way," explains fischertechnik CEO Wilhelm Schoch.
