Driving into the H2 future

fischertechnik - February 2021

Fuel cell propulsion is one of the great hopes for alternative drive technologies in the automotive industry. Many manufacturers are currently developing vehicles that run on hydrogen. With the fischertechnik H2 Fuel Cell Car construction kit, a vehicle can be built and set in motion using a fuel cell. The H2 Fuel Cell Car will be available in specialist shops from March for 89.90 euros.

can be used to build a vehicle and set it in motion using
a fuel cell.
An absolute must for tomorrow's engineers: The H2 Fuel Cell Car construction kit contains 117 components that can be used to construct a futuristic vehicle.

Now the drive system comes into play: The fuel cell supplied is connected to the power supply - and electrolysis starts: Distilled water splits into oxygen and hydrogen, which are stored in two labeled tanks. This makes it clear where which gas is located. As soon as the water level reaches the top of the H2 tank, the fuel cell can be put on the car - and off you go.

With this construction kit, fischertechnik playfully illustrates the megatrend of this forward-looking and sustainable drive technology. It also offers the perfect complement to the Green Energy construction kit, which explains the principles of hydropower, wind power and solar energy. The H2 Fuel Cell Car is suitable for children aged 9 and up.
