Even in the age of Industry 4.0, mechanics is fundamental to understanding technical processes. The new fischertechnik Retro Mechanics construction kit (109.90 Euro, available from March) familiarizes young researchers and explorers from the age of 8 with this classic topic.

How do forces work? How can they be redirected or brought into balance? And how can movement and dynamics be generated from forces? These and other questions can be explored and answered in a playful way with the Retro Mechanics construction set. The construction set convinces with its retro design and the classic packaging with a hinged lid.

Retro Mechanics illustrates the topics of mechanics and statics using no less than 30 models that can be constructed with the 500 components included in the box. These include objects as diverse as a barrier, a turntable, vehicles, various gears (crank gears, manual gears, planetary gears, bevel gears, differential gears), but also a lathe, various bridges or a food processor.
