Since the beginning of this year’s Formula One season fans laugh at their motor sports heroes made of gum. The animated comedy provides an exclusive insight into the trendy Driver’s Bar “Eckelsteins”, where all motor sports professionals feel at home. Everyone hangs around at Berni Ecclestone´s Bar next to the race track: Flavio – the flokati – Briatore, smooching Cora and Ralf Schumacher, Berni “Cash” Ecclestone and – last but not least – Schumi, always phoning his beloved Corinna on his mobile phone. Also present: Nick Heidfeld as speedy reporter and Norbert Haug, big boss of motor sport at Mercedes-Benz, without having anything to say. The funny Formula One comedy is produced by Frankfurt-based scopas medien AG. Since early 2007 the whole nation laughs at their cult clips around the German National Football Team “Deutsche 11 backstage”. The popular stop-motion films satirize national football heroes like Poldi, Schweini, Lehmann, Kahn, Michi Ballack, Jogi and Klinsi. All characters are made of silicone-rubbery material. Between two pictures taken, the figures just make minute movements. Thus 25 individual pictures per second perfectly simulate smooth moves. Since 1994 the company has been developing and realizing high-quality children programming and documentations for theatres and TV. |
Just in time for the European Grand Prix Michael Schumacher, the God of Formula One, returns. On Sunday, 22nd of July, we will see the seven-time world champion from Kerpen again in the pre-race show on RTL. In anticipation of the European Grand Prix at the Nürburgring the channel broadcasts the latest episode of the funny Formula One series “Eckelsteins”.
