After Herz-Spiele attracted great interest with their strategy game prototype BallCube at the Toy Fair in Nuremberg this year, the company now most proudly presents the series production game at the international Essener Spieletagen "Spiel '07" from 18 to 21 October 2007. BallCube is strategy game for 2 to 4 players that prompt communication. Each player chooses the balls of their favourite colour. The balls stand for their own assertiveness and have to find their way through the tubes of the BallCube – sounds easy, does it? Gravity symbolizes the individual will – if only there had not been the sliders with their holes that do not only open way to the own balls but also to your opponent’s. Sometimes the sliders even block your way or let the white ball (for advanced players) win. And you – unexpectedly – loose. So never forget to place your balls carefully, take the position of the slides into account and bring your balls home – step by step – through the BallCube – by skilfully using the sliders. And: Be the first to do so! With its almost symbolical transparency the BallCube provides all players and observers with a clear insight into the three dimensions of their own position, their opportunities and those of their opponents. Thus the game almost casually teaches to think in multiple dimensions and players learn the fact: It is not only my own will that counts. The intentionally transparent design of the BallCube allows for two play variations – depending on individual demands: an intuitional-experimental approach that makes BallCube a game of chance and enjoys high popularity especially with younger children – or a strategically demanding approach challenging the logical and three-dimensional imagination skills especially of advanced grown-up players. Material: All elements are made of extremely transparent polycarbonate that provides the BallCube with complex optical effects – changes in the visual angle and the incidence of light cause interesting variations in refraction and colour effects. Balls are made of PP. Ages 7 and up The eye-catching transparency of the BallCube provides children and adults with an almost intuitional understanding of how to play the game. That leads to immediate enthusiasm and endless play fun throughout the age groups – even without having read the instruction booklet! | |||
