Paramount Home Entertainment: German release of Jakers! - "Au Schwarte! Spukgeschichten" on October 1st

Is the idyllic Raloo Farm haunted? Strange noises in the barn, creepy cabbages, a mad scientist – Piggley, Dannan and Ferny are convinced that something’s odd on the Raloo Farm. Together they try to get to the bottom of things. As always, fun and chaos are almost inevitable, the more so as Wiley the sheep is also on board. But in the end things turn out to be quite different from what Piggley and his friends had imagined before. On their way they not only make startling discoveries but also learn gentle life lessons together with their audience. Through humour and creativity the popular preschool series (airing on KI.KA in Germany) conveys traditional values like friendship, loyalty, intergenerational relationships and family. "Jakers!" alias "Au Schwarte!" won six Emmy Awards for loveable characters, backgrounds, music and educational value.

The German DVD "Au Schwarte! Spukgeschichten" features four new episodes: "Für Mädchen verboten", "Geister", "Die gruseligen Kohlköpfe" and "Der verrückte Wissenschaftler". As always, stories begin with Grandpa Piggley sitting comfortably in his rocking chair, telling stories about his exciting childhood on Raloo Farm in Ireland. And this time everyone can join in: The DVD features “The Great Fairy Test - Read Along” so that children can read Grandpa Piggley’s stories themselves.

Au Schwarte! on KI.KA
Right from the beginning Au Schwarte! has been reaching top rating figures in Germany. KI.KA currently broadcasts the series on Saturdays and Sundays; from October 15th it will air daily at 9 am. Winner of 7 Emmy awards, a BAFTA award and a host of other awards, Jakers! is currently broadcast in over 64 territories, many with associated licensing programs. The popular Jakers! show is owned by London-based Entara Ltd and produced by the award winning studio Mike Young Productions.
