Bang on the Door expands across the world with the appointment of new licensing agents

Four new licensing agents appointed worldwide as pari of Bang on the Door's ongoing strategy to expand the business and brand

Bang on the Door, one of the leading design brands with over 600 characters, including the famous Groovy Chick, Fairy Girl and Football Crazy, today announces the appointment of four new licensing agents in the following key territories; Spain and Portugal, Benelux, Scandinavia and Korea. Each agent will be responsible for developing a licensing strategy for their territory with a localised approach and identifying relevant licensing partnerships.

Sophia Noguera from Mendia Licensing, who has had success with brands such as Bad Alice, Animal Soup and Felix the Cat, has been appointed to develop the licensing Programme for Bang on the Door across both Spain and Portugal. Managing Director of License Connection, aphne Kellerman, who has been in the licensing industry for over ten years, has been appointed to represent the Benelux territory. License Connection represent the merchandising and promotional rights of Transformers the Movie, My Little Pony, Noddy and Harry and His Bücket Füll of Dinosaurs among other well-known brands and offer deals across a ränge of licenses, such as movies, TV-series, designs based characters, Publishing based characters and toy based characters.

Bang on the Door will work closely with Freddy Larsen of Mega Merchandising, to roll out a licensing Programme in Scandinavia. Mega Merchandising manage other well-established brands across Scandinavia and Finland such as Criterion Licensing and their most successful property, Biker Mice From Mars. Finally, leading character licensing Company, Dick Bruna Korea, will handle the licensing and merchandising for Bang on the Door in Korea. As part of AGAWorld Group, Dick Bruna Korea was established in 1996 to primarily license and control the use of the illustrations made by Dick Bruna, the world famous graphic designer and creator of Miffy. With a strong reputation and leading expertise in character licensing in the children's market, Dick Bruna Korea will actively identify licensing deals for Bang on the Door in this territory with immediate effect.

Bang on the Door now has over 60 licensees covering territories from Europe and Australia to the Far East. The brand includes a Bang on the Door baby ränge of characters with nursery products for the 0 - 3 age group, as well as Bang on the Door kids for the 4 - 7 year olds.

Bang on the Door is committed to developing the Company throughout 2007/2008 and the appointment of new licensing agents in other territories forms part of this on-going strategy. Additional developments have included the release of their new style guide in January 2007, the appointment of new licensees such as, Hallmark as greeting card licensee as well as continuing a dose relationship with all existing licensees to ensure a proactive approach in terms of working with retailers. New product development for 2007 include new wheeled toys by MV Sport & Leisure; refreshed partyware ränge by Duni; exclusive Groovy Chick stationery in Asda by DNC and most recently, McLaggan Smith Mugs are launching a ränge of 30 different mugs making use of the extensive character portfolio of Bang on the Door.
