Entertainment Rights strengthens international sales business and appoints kids industry specialist

Adam Selly to Drive International Sales for Entertainment Rights, Classic Media and Big Idea brand portfolio

Entertainment Rights (ER) Plc, the UK’s leading global media group specialising in the ownership of children’s and family programming, characters and brands today announced it has appointed Adam Selly as Head of Sales (excluding US, Canada and Japan). In this newly created position, Adam will be responsible for generating and maximising revenue across the ER group’s entire Television and Home Entertainment businesses, exploiting opportunities within existing successful markets and identifying new revenue streams in emerging markets. Adam will also be the main conduit within ER for developing existing third party relationships with both producers and rights owners and successfully forging new partnerships.

Reporting directly to Chloe van den Berg, Director of International, Adam will oversee an experienced distribution team who successfully manage a combined portfolio of over 3,500 hours of content including key ER brands Postman Pat®, Rupert Bear®, Basil Brush®, Finley the Fire Engine™, Jim Jam & Sunny™, Casper®, and Where’s Wally®. ER remains focused on strategically developing its internationally renowned brands across both traditional and digital media platforms.

He will become an integral member of the ER senior management team.”

Adam joins ER with twenty years of experience within the wider television Industry. Prior to joining ER Adam founded Dynamite Entertainment Ltd, a production company and distributor specialising in kids animation. Prior to this, Adam joined Hit Entertainment in 1999 where he spent 6 years overseeing sales, licensing and merchandise for Asia Pacific and in his tenure grew revenues in the region by tenfold.
