The spectacular new US TV series tells about “special” people (“Heroes”), who independently discover that they have extraordinary powers. The super humans are hunted by a covert organization called “The Company” and by Sylar, an evil watchmaker, who wants to kill them to acquire their super powers. In the meanwhile, the heroes try to avert a large explosion, which one of them has foreseen to destroy the whole city of New York.

An average of 1.88 million viewers regularly watches the show on TV. On 31 January 2008 “Heroes – Season 1.1” will see its DVD release to the German market. Following the final episode of Season 1 on TV, the second DVD “Heroes – Season 1.2” will be available from 27 March 2008 in shops throughout Germany. Season 2 is scheduled for German broadcast in autumn 2008.

Calendars, posters and postcards as well as the sighted-for group photo “Are you on the list” are exclusively distributed by Close Up. Licensed action figures will follow in the near future. What is more, the company plans to extend their existing product portfolio and has already entered talks with several potential licensing partners from different categories and industries.
