Little Princess nominated for tow british animation awards 2008

Hit pre-school animation Little Princess is in the running to win more top industry awards

The Illuminated Film Company, award winning producers of Little Princess, and TV-Loonland, renowned children’s brand management company, announce their multi-award winning show Little Princess has been nominated for two British Animation Awards (BAA) including Best Character Voice Performance category with Jane Horrocks and Best Pre-School Children’s Series. The Awards will take place this year on 13 March 2008 at British Film Institute, London.

Little Princess has been selected as one of three pre-school finalists in the British Animation Awards and will be competing against Charlie and Lola ‘Too Many Big Words’ and Pocoyo. Other nominees in Best Character Voice Performance category with Little Princess and Jane Horrocks include Haunted Hogmanay for Peter Capaldi and The Technical Hitch for Robert Lindsay.

Featuring the voice talents of international television and film star Jane Horrocks, and presenter/comedian Julian Clary, the animation series is based on the best-selling picture books by award winning author and illustrator Tony Ross and aimed at children aged 2-6 years. Rated the top programme on terrestrial TV in the UK in March 2007 (Source: DDS based on 4-6 year old target audience), the second 35 x 11' series of Little Princess is currently airing on FIVE Milkshake! and also proving a ratings success. The TV show has been sold in over 160 countries to date.
