Industry Leader to Drive International (non US) Growth for Entertainment Rights, Classic Media and Big Idea

Entertainment Rights (ER) Plc, the UK’s leading global media group specialising in the ownership of children’s and family programming, characters and brands today announced it has appointed Andrew Kerr as Executive Director, Consumer Products and Marketing, International. Andrew reports directly to Jane Smith, Chief Commercial and Creative Director and will be based in ER’s London headquarters, effective from March 26th 2008.

In this newly created position, Andrew will be responsible for further developing and overseeing the Group’s successful commercial strategy for Entertainment Rights’ brand and content portfolio across the UK & International territories (excluding US and Canada). Key ER Group brands include Postman Pat®, Rupert Bear®, Basil Brush®, Guess With Jess®, Lassie®, Casper®, Where’s Wally®, George Of The Jungle™ and VeggieTales®.

Andrew will align ER’s UK and International Licensing, Marketing and Brands divisions, allowing for a more focused, cohesive approach to brand exploitation. Kerr will also work closely with the US senior management team to implement a unified global brand strategy that is consistent across the Group, working in close collaboration with the TV, Home Entertainment and Digital teams.

Andrew joins at a time when ER is incredibly well positioned for future growth from the international arena. The Group has doubled in size since it acquired Classic Media in January 2007, building an enviable brand portfolio which is poised for future success driven by premium broadcast platforms.
