Lilli the Witch Conjures Top Rating Figures

CTM Concept - February 2008

Last Sunday Lilli the Witch introduced her new series start in February 2008 with a brilliant prelude: The Lilli special comprised of three episodes of the popular TV series aired at 4.50 p.m. and achieved top ratings of more than 25% in the target demographic of children aged between 3 and 13.

From 14th February to the 20th of March the little witch and her dragon Hektor will once again enchant their little viewers: Mondays till Fridays 5.35 p.m. on KI.KA (with regular re-runs at 10.25 a.m.). As of March 24th, the series will be broadcast daily at 6.15 p.m. (with re-runs Mondays to Fridays at 11.40 a.m.). From March 15th, also “Das Erste“ want to share in the success of the TV-witch and show her magic arts every Saturday at 5.45/6.10 a.m. and Sundays at 6.45/7.10 a.m..

This spring season the lively witch develops her arts not only on TV. In March 2008 Panini Publishing will first release their new high-quality Lilli the Witch magazine onto the German market. The magazine will be published monthly and has been developed in cooperation with qualified educationalists. Each issue corresponds to the topic of a TV episode (“Lilli the Witch in the Wild West” for example) and targets early readers and curious kids that want to know more and learn about the world and its history. What is more, Arena Publishing will also present the first 14 new books on the TV Lilli, including picture books, puzzle booklets and colour-ins.

Another great Lilli the Witch highlight is in the pipeline for autumn 2008, when a life-action movie with a computer-animated Hektor will make its silver screen debut. “Lilli the Witch – The Movie” is produced by blue eyes Fiction in cooperation with animation company TRIXTER and directed by Stefan Ruzowitzky (Anatomie and Anatomie 2), who has been recommended for an Oscar nomination in 2008. Arena Publishing will accompany the movie release with a new special book by Lilli creator KNISTER.
