Entertainment Rights appoints 3DBA as strategic partner for leisure attractions and theme parks

Entertainment Rights Plc, the UK’s leading global media group specialising in the ownership and management of children’s and family programming, characters and brands today announced it has appointed 3DBA as its key sales partner across the portfolio for the delivery of key brands into themed attractions. George of the Jungle™ (A Bullwinkle Studios Product) and Casper® are currently being showcased at major trade shows throughout the world and a number of deals are expected to be announced in due course.

The focus of the long term partnership is to position key brands as permanent fixtures in major theme parks and outdoor leisure attractions worldwide. ER will work with 3DBA to deliver a number of key partners to develop and supply multiple format attractions including Interactive Water Rides, Dark Rides and 4D multi-sensory Cinema experiences. The strategy will focus on both singular installations and larger themed areas, generating retail opportunities.

The first attraction in development – ‘George of the Jungle Splash Battle’ – an interactive family water ride was showcased last month at the Euro Amusement Show in Nice. Designs and plans for further attractions in development will be featured at the upcoming Dubai Entertainment & Leisure show, IAAPA Asian Expo in Macau, and IAAPA Orlando later in the year.

This partnership builds on ER’s successful Live Entertainment division which to date has centred around successful nationwide theatre tours, regional mall tours, multi-character live shows, pantomimes and summer residencies in leisure attractions throughout the UK for ER properties including popular brands such as Basil Brush® and Postman Pat®.

This deal firmly marks ER’s commitment to spearheading new and exciting formats within Live Entertainment for some of its most popular brands. Extending its properties within an experiential format will deepen consumer engagement with the brand and open up significant cross-promotional, marketing and retail opportunities for the business.
