Game On for Tabaluga: ATARI Deutschland, one of the leading providers and producers of interactive entertainment software, is bringing 2D jump ‘n’ run game “Tabaluga – Greenland in Danger” (Original German title „Tabaluga – Grünland in Gefahr“) for PC and Nintendo DS™ to German stores, in co-operation with licensor EM.Entertainment and in time with Tabaluga’s 25th anniversary. The Nintendo DS™ game is scheduled to hit the shelves February 28, while the PC version will be available in stores as of March 13.

Thrilling adventures with exciting missions and tricky tasks: In “Tabaluga – Greenland in Danger”, the evil Arktos freezes all of Greenland. But he didn’t reckon on Tabaluga and his friends, who set out to thwart his plans and rescue the Greenlanders from icy eternity. And there’s even more danger on its way from Humsin, who continues to grow his desert, threatening both Greenland and Iceland …

With “Tabaluga – Greenland in Danger”, ATARI has created a 2D jump ‘n’ run game that is appropriate for children and free of violence, and that lovingly recreates the world of the brave little dragon and his exciting adventures.

This year sees Tabaluga celebrate his 25th birthday: It was in 1983 that Peter Maffay, together with Gregor Rottschalk and Rolf Zuckowski, published the concept album entitled “Tabaluga or the Journey to Reason” (Original German title „Tabaluga oder die Reise zur Vernunft“) – since when the curious and lively little dragon has embodied timeless values such as a sense of community, friendship and happiness. Since 1997, the Tabaluga animated series (in Germany on ZDF and Junior Channel on pay-TV platform Premiere) and children’s game show Tabaluga tivi (on ZDF and KI.KA) have been constant features of the TV landscape.
