EM.Entertainment licenses numerous programs in Eastern and Southeastern Europe as well as in Africa

EM.Entertainment’s portfolio coveted internationally: EM.Entertainment GmbH has inked numerous licensing deals in the free-TV, pay-TV and home entertainment sectors in Eastern and Southeastern Europe as well as in Africa. Alongside the classics like Maya the Bee or Pippi Longstocking, new productions of the company – Master Raindrop, Staines Down Drains and VIPO amongst others – were also in the focus.

In Greece, EM.Entertainment licensed, alongside, exclusive free-TV rights to series Maya the Bee and Heidi to media group Modern Times. Meanwhile, public broadcaster ERT acquired free-TV rights to well-known programs such as Alice in Wonderland, Nils Holgersson or edutainment format Marvi Hämmer presents NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC WORLD.

The company awarded exclusive free-TV rights to public broadcaster RTV Slovenia, e.g. to 3D animated adventure series VIPO and animation series Pippi Longstocking and Karlsson on the Roof. Furthermore, EM.Entertainment renewed exclusive broadcast rights to Czech free-TV channel Ceska Televize, for instance to live-action series Black Beauty. DVD/video provider Davay acquired an extensive program package for exploitation in the home entertainment sector in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Moreover, Buka Entertainment Enterprises secured DVD/video rights to animation series The Amazing Adventures of Jules Verne and animated features Flipper & Lopaka, Pippi with the Wales and Pippi in the South Seas.

On the African continent as well, children and youth entertainment from EM.Entertainment enjoys popularity. Thus, Gateway Broadcast Services acquired capacious pay-TV rights both to new formats like action/adventure/comedy series Master Raindrop, action/comedy program Staines Down Drains or VIPO, animated series such as Tabaluga and Flipper & Lopaka as well as further titles.
