Papawa set to conquer small screen

BRB Internacional - March 2007

Papawa is ready to take on the small screen hand-in-hand with BRB Internacional. The latest hillarious creation from the producers of Bernard will arrive replete with new touches for the upcoming edition of MIPTV: The most avant-garde animated TV series has just finalized its pre-production phase and will show new episodes to the different prospective client channels in two commercial formats: 104 x 7’ and 52 x 13’. The impish inhabitants of this singular paradisiacal isle called Papawa are determined to make the leap to the small screen next autumn. For the time being, the series has been sold in Africa (Fairmaid) and Turkey (Horizon Internacional Film).

With the unmistakable imprint of the Catalonian company Screen 21 and the French 2 Minutes, in co-production with Televisió de Catalunya, the series Papawa packs an original comedy aimed at a target audience of between 6 and 8 years loads of humor appropriate for all age groups. Done in Hi-definition with Cut Out-style esthetics and photographic textures, this ambitious European production stands out also because of its sitcom-like narrative and studied combination of sound and music. 104 suffering visitors will give life to more zanily entertaining stories, woven around the powerful and remarkably surprising autoctonous pests who communicate among themselves with Papawiense echoes. Welcome to Papawa, a paradise island… with nightmarish inhabitants.
