10 events in Germany will be promise action, fun and games for children

After its huge success in the past year, the Looney Tunes Sportparty will now tour Germany, presented by Boomerang the 24-hour cartoon channel. Kickoff will be in Kiel on May, 10th at the Kidsfestival. In addition to a large activity area of approximately 1000 qm featuring different sport station, the children can expect an entertainment program loaded with games and events. After its launch in Kiel, the roadshow of the Looney Tunes Sportparty continues at nine selected kids festivals in Germany, among them the city festival in Leipzig, the kids and youth festival in Berlin and the childrens’ festival at the Olympic Park in Munich.

In 2007, the warm-up of the Looney Tunes Sportparty took place in over 500 elementary schools in Germany. The Events in various cities will now offer the kids another chance to experience the exciting and action-packed Looney Tunes course. There is no registration required to participate in the Looney Tunes Sportparty Tour – the kids can just hop into their favourite sports outfit and get started.

The children can complete an elaborate course consisting of six different stations that challenge, among other things, their sense of balance, strength, speed, flexibility, endurance and team spirit. Whether it is the Sylvester Catwalk, Tweety’s Bouncy Castle, the Roadrunner Obstacle Course or the Speedy Gonzales Driving School: Each station will be hosted by one of the Looney Tunes characters. The Looney Tunes have ranked among the most popular TV classics of the cartoon world for decades and are still loved by young and old fans alike. Bugs Bunny, Sylvester, Tweety, Speedy Gonzales or Daffy Duck – the popular cartoon heroes are cool, clever and always in action. They fascinate and entertain kids with their jokey and speedy style and are therefore perfect partners to inspire children to exercise more while at the same time having lots of fun.

After the action course, the succesful little athletes can relax in comfortable lounges, pose for photographs with Bugs Bunny or participate in a drawing contest. In addition, various raffles promise great prizes for children.

The 24-hour cartoon channel Boomerang presents the Looney Tunes Sportsparty as the exclusive TV partner. The channel broadcasts funny and timeless cartoons for the enitre family and can be received among others through the satellite platform Premiere Star, which also supports the tour. The Looney Tunes Sportparty is an initiative of Warner Bros. Consumer Products, the German Dance Teachers Association (ADTV), the BARMER Health Insurance Fund, the State Institute for Early Childhood Education (IFP) and of the “Diet and Physical Activity” Platform (peb). With the help of the popular and famous Looney Tunes, the events are aiming to encourage the natural urge to move in children of the ages six to ten years, advancing health and physical development with fun and games.
