TV-Loonland secures licensing deal with DH Konzept Vertriebs- und Marketing GmbH
for “Pettson and Findus” children´s textiles

TV-Loonland - May 2008

TV-Loonland is pleased to announce a licensing deal for its kids brand “Pettson and Findus”. Starting Fall 2008, DH Konzept Vertriebs- und Marketing GmbH (“DH Konzept”) will be offering „Pettson and Findus“ children´s textiles made of ecological accredited cotton and being produced strictly in accordance with social compatible manufacturing processes.

The motivation behind this cooperation was to explore new ways in licensing and so daring to leave known paths was necessary. The whole collection of “Pettson and Findus” textiles will be solely produced out of ecologically controlled “SKAL” accredited cotton and represents the deliberate decision to offer both sustainable and high quality products.

When cultivating “SKAL” accredited cotton no pesticides, insecticide or fertilizer are used. Weed and vermins are treated by biological methods.

Dirk Hüsgen, Managing Director of DH Konzept explains: “The cotton is hand-picked and no defoliants are used. Thus, the ecological balance within the growing area in Turkey is not negatively affected, as ground, air and water are not polluted with harmful substances.”

Bernd Conrad, Head of Licensing and Merchandising at TV-Loonland: ”Parents choose Pettson and Findus for their little ones, both as a TV series and licensing brand for the values that it represents. We aim to meet this leap of faith by now offering Pettson and Findus textiles that are ecologically proven, so that neither nature nor the children´s health are affected.”
