Cattrall will star as “Dee,” Parker Kovak’s self-absorbed, high-maintenance boss and host of “The Dee Show,” a daytime talk show that sells viewers the myth of having it all. Each episode of Producing Parker follows the outrageous adventures of Parker, the show’s overworked and underpaid television producer, as she manages her boss’s delicate ego, the quirky production crew and all the hilarious behind-the-scenes antics of “The Dee Show.” Taking a satiric spin on living the dream, Producing Parker gives viewers an entertaining, fantastical behind-the-scenes glimpse of TV that live-action formats can’t provide. “Kim Cattrall joins a top line up of Canadian talent in this clever animated series from Head Writer Laura Kosterski,” said Christine Shipton, Senior Vice President, Drama and Factual Content. “We are excited to be expanding the E! brand with a new original series that will appeal to our audience with its outrageous humour.” “We’re very excited to have Kim Cattrall starring in this much-anticipated animated sitcom,” said Kevin Gillis, Managing Partner and Executive Producer of Breakthrough Animation. “Kim has developed an enormous following among female viewers and it is appropriate that she should play such an important role in the first primetime animated series designed for women.” Producing Parker will also feature the voice talent of Kristen Booth (MVP, Young People Fucking) as “Parker Kovak”; Aaron Abrams (Slings And Arrows, Amelia, Flash of Genius) as “Simon Nolan,” the Dee Show’s resident copywriter; and Peter Keleghan (Cheaper by the Dozen 2, Murdoch Mysteries) as “Blake Bellamy,” the charismatic station owner.
