Fullmetal Alchimist. The two Elric brothers, Edward and Alphonse, live with their mother in the village of Resembool. Their father, who left them when they were very small to go on a long and mysterious journey, was a talented alchemist and Ed and Al also began studying this fascinating science. The death of their mother, though, forced them to try something forbidden: to resurrect her using alchemy! Unfortunately for them, the transmutation goes wrong and Al loses his entire body, but his soul gets bonded to a suit of armor allowing him to remain among the living, while Ed has an arm and a leg torn off.
