House-Mouse Designs, Inc. announced a new licensing partnership with another Vermont based business, Danforth Pewter Ltd. for whimsical pewter products featuring the House-Mouse® mice. Danforth Pewter is world renowned for their pewter products. Bram Kleppner, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Danforth Pewter says: "Fred and Judi Danforth founded Danforth Pewter in Vermont in 1975, reviving a family tradition that stretched back to the pewter workshop that Thomas Danforth II opened in colonial Connecticut in 1755. Generations of Danforths followed him in the family trade, and there is colonial Danforth Pewter in the Smithsonian, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, MA and many other American Museums. Our office is filled with the House-Mouse® calendars and coffee mugs, and we're honored and delighted that House-Mouse® chose us to interpret their wonderful creatures in pewter." Nicole Percy, Director of Licensing at House-Mouse® says "We've been Danforth fans for a long time and it's always nice to keep it in the family, so to speak - working with another successful Vermont business. I've personally purchased items for myself and as gifts from the Danforth line of products for years and am pleased to see that our artwork translated so well, with the help of Danforth's very talented staff, into pewter." The pewter line will consist of a calendar hook, a magnet, a key ring/fob and a Christmas ornament. Distribution channels are expected to be Danforth's own retail outlets, their website and mail order catalog. Also the items will be featured by another House-Mouse® licensee's, House Mouse Antics, website and catalog. The pewter products are currently available.
